| Elite Alternatives was established in 1986 to provide the best childcare providers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We now offer our services nationwide. Since our inception we have dedicated ourselves to representing the most well-trained, experienced, and educated child care providers available. The majority of the nannies available through Elite Alternatives are degreed(Early Childhood Development, Family Studies, Education, Psychology,etc.). Other's that are not degreed are generally attending evening classes to further their education. In addition, we also represent the more mature,"grandmotherly" type nanny. It is our firm belief that whatever educational and childcare background a candidate has, the most important qualities a provider possesses are a genuine love of children, patience, and nurturing. When a family employs a nanny, they are hiring a role model for their children. A nanny is a very integral part of a families' child-rearing system, and must have a personality that compliments the families'. Finding that right "match" is what we pride ourselves on. Our 15 year's experience have enlightened us as to the type of person that best makes a wonderful childcare provider. It is our ability to identify these individuals that sets us apart from other organizations. After we have accessed a families' needs,we promptly set up interviews with prospective candidates that meet those distinctive needs. After interviewing several candidates a family generally narrows their search to a few select individuals they wish to contact for second interviews. Once a final selection has been made, and an offer has been accepted, the screening process continues. First, all references are screened, and the families are provided with all references and strongly encouraged to check them as well. Secondly, we do a criminal background investigation(locally and nationally) Thirdly, we do pre-employment drug testing. Elite Alternatives gives a full one year unconditional guarantee. Once the interviewing , selection, and screening process is over, our relationship with our families is not. We are always available to help answer questions and to provide support. We also provide on-going training workshops. We have an Early Childhood Development program that was developed by an individual with a Master's in Family Studies. We have been selected by the State of Texas Workforce Commission to teach this program to childcare providers in far North Dallas. This program, and others, are always available to nannies and first time parents.
